A book about the stories of those who have no story in their lives.

A bitter, deep, and touching book, with bright spots from Poochi and Yass.

I recommend reading it to those who prefer the ideas present in novels to the stories and events of their own lives.

I read the book with a very good translation by Mrs. Bahareh Moradi and the first edition published by the good publisher Qqnos.

This book seems to offer a unique perspective on the lives of those who may be overlooked or forgotten. It delves into the depths of their experiences, perhaps revealing hidden emotions and struggles. The presence of Poochi and Yass adds an interesting element, as their bright spots might contrast with the overall tone of the book.

By recommending it to those who favor the ideas in novels, it suggests that this book has something to offer in terms of intellectual stimulation and thought-provoking concepts.

The fact that it was read in a good translation and published by a reliable publisher like Qqnos further enhances its credibility and quality. Overall, this book seems to be a worthwhile read for those interested in exploring the lives of others and gaining new insights.

I think too much. This is my flaw. If I hadn't been so philosophical by nature, I could have lived more happily.

The problem that can be measured by the quadrupling of the circle: Can an interesting novel be written about someone who is endlessly bored? It is true that our narrator is not constantly bored, but also sometimes worried, and these two activities fill his entire life. He would rather be bored than worried, but like most worried people, it is not he who decides which one he does. However, our hero is a seemingly lucky person on the surface. He won the lottery jackpot in the form of a deceased American uncle who left him a large fortune, so he can then leave his job and engage in his hobby. The trouble is that his hobby is boredom and worry, only this has not emerged for him until now because he had to go to work.

But let's return to the initial problem: Can an interesting novel be written about someone who is bored? (And worried.) Well, it can. (Here the question remains open whether an interesting novel can be written about boredom itself, or only when worry is associated with it.) Ionesco's narrator can hardly bear himself, but others even less so – and because of his antisocial nature, the possibility of building complex relationships with other characters is rather limited. This is a serious disadvantage from a writer's point of view because then one has to focus on the character's monologues, which, let's admit, are prone to becoming difficult. Ionesco compensates for this by gradually twisting the stimuli of the outside world. It is a great idea that the basis of the surreal civil war taking place on the streets is increasingly filtered into the text – incidentally, this basis seems to have a surprisingly calming effect on our hero. When an external danger diverts his attention, it also means that he has to focus less on himself. Civil war as a cure for neurosis, I don't know what psychiatrists would say about this. I note that there are numerous records that during the bombing of London, the proportion of people suffering from mental illnesses decreased among the population. So there may be something to this. But it would still be a hasty step to recommend the Nobel Prize in Medicine to the Luftwaffe.

I also identified very strongly with the character in the book in a strange way.

Perhaps the revolution was a bit of a pointless topic.

Sometimes it was a bit too deep in the water.

Maybe the author could have explored other aspects of the story more.

However, I still found the character's journey quite interesting.

The way the author described the character's emotions and thoughts made me feel like I was right there with them.

Despite the flaws in the story, I think it was still a worthwhile read.

It made me think about different things and view the world from a different perspective.

I would recommend this book to others who are interested in reading about complex characters and their struggles.
