Long and drawn out as it may seem, if one truly desires a comprehensive and enlightening lesson on how to break free from the Nice Guy life, then reading Glover’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy” is an absolute must. I have personally read and re-read that remarkable book on multiple occasions. It offers profound insights and practical strategies that have the power to transform one’s perspective and behavior. On the other hand, Coughlin’s book, unfortunately, presented a significant struggle to get through. The content seemed less engaging and perhaps lacked the clarity and impact that Glover’s work so effectively delivers.
A decent book that delves into the concept of rethinking Biblical Manhood has been brought to light. The author presents some profound statements regarding the rather disheartening state of manhood among most Christian men. It is pointed out that men tend to be overly passive and nice, when in fact they should exhibit boldness and courage. While some of his statements might seem a little exaggerated, I would assert that I concur with approximately 75% of his claims.
Undoubtedly, it was a decent read that serves as a good reminder that Jesus was most definitely not passive. This book offers valuable insights and challenges the traditional notions of manhood within the Christian context. It encourages men to step out of their comfort zones and embrace a more assertive and courageous approach in their lives. Overall, it is a thought-provoking piece that has the potential to inspire positive change in the way Christian men view themselves and their role in the world.
