I have a deep affection for Beagle.

It is truly an outstanding breed that holds a special place in my heart.

Beagles are known for their friendly and gentle nature, making them great companions for both experienced dog owners and those who are new to the world of dogs.

They have a charming personality and are always eager to please, which makes training them a relatively easy task.

Moreover, their compact size and low maintenance requirements make them suitable for various living situations.

Whether you live in a small apartment or a large house, a Beagle can bring joy and love into your life.

Overall, I highly recommend Beagles to anyone looking for a wonderful and loyal four-legged friend.

Oh, how "Two Hearts" made me cry.

That movie was an absolute emotional rollercoaster. The story was so beautifully crafted, with characters that I couldn't help but fall in love with. From the very beginning, I was drawn into their world and their struggles.

The chemistry between the lead actors was palpable, and it made their relationship seem so real. As I watched their love unfold, I found myself getting more and more invested in their story. I laughed with them, I cried with them, and I felt their pain as if it were my own.

By the end of the movie, I was a sobbing mess. The ending was both heartwarming and heartbreaking, and it left me with a feeling of bittersweetness. "Two Hearts" is definitely a movie that I will never forget, and it has become one of my all-time favorites.

The characterisation in these stories is utterly captivating. Each character is brought to life in the most vivid and engaging way, making you feel as if you know them personally. The stories themselves are filled with twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It's a collection that you'll want to read over and over again, always finding something new and wonderful to discover.

The Line Between by Peter S. Beagle is a captivating collection of stories that showcases his remarkable talent as a writer.

One of the patterns noticed in great writers is their consistent "voice" yet varying subject matter. Beagle is no exception. In this book, we are taken on a journey through different worlds and themes.

We start with "Gordon the Self-Made Cat," a charming fable about a mouse's desire to become a cat. Despite its ridiculous premise, Beagle makes us believe in it.

"Two Hearts" is one of Beagle's best-known stories, featuring familiar characters from his earlier work. It's a powerful tale about responsibility and saying goodbye.

The "Four Fables" are silly yet have a sting in the tail, much like those of Aesop.

The book then transitions to contemporary fantasy with stories like "El Regalo," about a young man with magical powers, and "Quarry," set in the universe of The Innkeeper's Song.

"Salt Wine" explores how two sailors deal with the consequences of a secret, while "Mr. Sigerson" gives us a new take on Sherlock Holmes.

"A Dance For Emilia" showcases Beagle's world-building skills as he recreates a specific time and place.

Overall, The Line Between is a must-read for fans of fantasy and anyone who appreciates great storytelling. Beagle's ability to make the fantastic seem real is truly remarkable.

The way Beagle weaves his tales is simply masterful.

Gordon, the Self-Made Cat

I think this was my least favorite of the stories in this book. I still liked it -- quite a bit, actually -- but it was written for kids, and obviously so, and that wasn't what I was looking for when I picked it up. The author's intro blurb says he's working on expanding it for book publication, and that it's intended as a nod to books like Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little. I'll totally read that when it comes out.

Two Hearts

This story is written in the universe of The Last Unicorn, which is one of my favorite books of all time. Beagle has repeatedly said over the years that a sequel to TLU wasn't possible but he calls this story "an introduction to a sequel" because he "can't abandon Sooz, [his:] young narrator." I can't wait for that because I think Sooz is pretty damn great.

Four Fables

Four charming/funny stories with amusing and somewhat cynical but true morals. I think he ought to write a whole book of these. They're better than Aesop.

El Regalo

The author says this story will be followed up by a novel, too. Again -- CAN'T WAIT. This story about a pair of Korean-American siblings with sooper speshul powers is probably my favorite in the book. I loved the plot and the characters and the voice in which it was written. Excellent stuff.

Quarry

The Inkeeper's Song is Peter S. Beagle's favorite of his own books. I've never read it. But after reading this story, which is a sort of prequel, I guess, telling how two of the characters first met, I've added it to my Amazon wish list. Not knowing anything about the story's 'verse coupled with the fact that it's, you know, short and therefore not very informative made it a little confusing for me. But the characters were fascinating if not exactly loveable and I was left wanting more of them.

Salt Wine

This is the other story in this collection that I might call a favorite. The character's voice took a page or two for me to get used to but once I did, I was completely sucked in. It's about merpeople! Well... Not really. Merpeople are vital to the story but it's about...not merpeople. I can't figure out exactly how to describe it. Basically, I think it's about secrets and personal morals and the effects that these things have on each other and the people involved with them. It's very character-driven, which is my favorite thing ever, but it also has a great and interesting plot. Two thumbs up.

Mr. Sigerson

HOLMES FANFIC! Kind of! I rather like it when good authors take on Holmes. Mystery without fantasy isn't Peter S. Beagle's strong point by any means but I did like this. I love how every time the narrator compliments anything about Holmes -- pretty much just his musical ability -- it's with a sense that it's a big chore and he'd really rather just complain. As much as I like him, I've always thought Holmes was a bit of an ass. I enjoyed reading a story from the POV of someone who agrees.

A Dance for Emilia

Maybe I lied about Gordon, the Self-Made Cat being my least favorite story in the collection. Maybe it was this one. And it wasn't because I didn't think the story was good or anything like that because it was. There just wasn't anything that I identified with or became attached to. I enjoyed it while I was reading it but it isn't one that's going to stay with me forever or anything like that.

Imaginative and funny, as always. This description truly holds for the entire book.

The last story in the book, titled "A Dance for Emilia", is an absolute gem. It is one of the most weirdly beautiful things I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

The vivid imagery and unique plot of this story have left a lasting impression on me. In fact, I have re-read that story not once, not twice, but three or four times in the last few weeks.

I simply couldn't stop thinking about it. The way the author weaves the tale, creating a world that is both strange and enchanting, is truly remarkable.

Every time I read it, I discover something new and wonderful. It's like a hidden treasure chest that I can't wait to explore again and again.

Gorgeous doesn't even begin to describe it. This story is a masterpiece that will stay with me for a long time to come.

It is entirely worth it for the sequel to "The Last Unicorn" which is called "Two Hearts."

When I read it, I couldn't help but cry. It was as if a precious part of my childhood had come back to me as an adult.

The story was so beautiful and touching that it really tugged at my heartstrings.

The characters and the plot were developed in such a way that it made me feel like I was a part of the story.

I was completely immersed in the world that the author had created.

"Two Hearts" is truly a masterpiece that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good story.

It is a book that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it.

I am so glad that I discovered this sequel and I will cherish it for a long time to come.
