I truly have a great enjoyment for this series and I am extremely glad to be getting back to the world of the werewolves. In this installment, we find Elena in a state of advanced pregnancy.

The pack is then approached with a task to retrieve a certain document. As it turns out, this document is none other than the infamous 'From Hell' letter which is believed to have been written by the notorious Jack the Ripper.

Subsequently, a series of events unfold in such a way that the pack is left with the arduous task of dealing not only with Jack himself, but also with unkillable zombies, a vampire, a sorcerer, and a few other mysterious and terrifying wee beasties. These additional elements are best left for the reader to discover on their own as they embark on this thrilling adventure.

All in all, this makes for just some light and entertaining Halloween reading. :)

We are once again back to Elena as the narrator. After three years of wandering and debating whether they should ever consider having children, Clay and Elena find themselves heavily pregnant, completely at a loss as to how to cope. In an attempt to deal with their anxiety, they decide to socialize with friends, hoping to have less time to dwell on it. This ultimately leads them back to Toronto, where they have to deal with an interdimensional portal that leads back to Jack the Ripper's time in London. The portal is spewing killer zombie rats, infection-riddled zombies, and all sorts of old-time diseases. It's both interesting and disgustingly terrifying!

Pregnant werewolf, Jack the Ripper, zombies, blah blah blah.

This book was truly lackluster. It was not only boring but also extremely bland. There were merely two zombies, and the whole concept of Jack the Ripper as a plot point was a complete letdown. The pregnant werewolf, on the other hand, was disappointingly domestic.

In a series that is supposed to be more than just supernatural romances dressed up in an action-packed guise, it is highly disappointing and even deceitful that there are no real sex scenes at all. One would expect a certain level of excitement and sensuality in such a series, but this book fails to deliver on both fronts.

The overall execution of the story feels flat and unengaging, leaving the reader with a sense of dissatisfaction. It seems as if the author missed the mark in creating a truly captivating and thrilling narrative.

Perhaps with some improvements in the plot development, character portrayal, and the inclusion of more steamy scenes, this book could have had the potential to be a lot more enjoyable. As it stands now, however, it is just another forgettable addition to the supernatural romance genre.

I am truly impressed by Kelley Armstrong's remarkable ability to adapt her writing style to perfectly match the character she is penning. It's a feat that not many authors can achieve with such finesse. However, to my disappointment, this particular book failed to meet my expectations. I suspect it might be due to the fact that I don't have the same affinity for Elena's character as I do for the other Women of the Otherworld. Additionally, the story line seemed rather predictable, lacking the element of surprise that usually keeps me on the edge of my seat.

Given that Elena used to be a reporter, I find it quite puzzling why she didn't pick up on the obvious clues during their investigation. It seems rather out of character for someone with her background. Moreover, I'm also somewhat disturbed by how little she appears to be in tune with her own body. How on earth can a woman's husband not only feel but also see their baby kick before the mother does? It just doesn't seem right.

On a more positive note, there was a new character introduced in this book who I really liked a lot. I sincerely hope that she makes an appearance in future books. I do wish that Jamie and Jeremy would finally hook up already. Their relationship has been building up for so long, and I'm eager to see how it will develop.

I was truly overjoyed to be reunited with Elena and Clay. However, to be honest, this book was extremely boring.

It seemed as if nothing significant occurred throughout the story. The villain was almost comical, lacking any real threat or depth. The mystery that was supposed to drive the plot was far from mysterious, easily predictable and unengaging.

The characters, too, failed to leave much of an impression. They felt flat and one-dimensional, with little development or growth. While I did like the new Vampire that was introduced, that was really the only亮点.

I have a general aversion to pregnancies in books, and this one was no different. It just seemed like an unnecessary addition to the story. Overall, I would rate this book as 100% filler, lacking in substance and excitement.

I really hope the next installment in the series is more engaging and fulfilling.

While I truly enjoyed this book and had a great time going back to the Pack, it unfortunately wasn't my absolute favorite.

Elena, a female werewolf, finds herself in a rather extraordinary situation as she is pregnant with werewolf twins. In the werewolf world, this is basically unheard of, which adds a unique element to the story.

Much of the narrative focuses on her pregnancy, exploring the challenges and emotions that come with it. However, the story doesn't stop there. A letter containing a portal is discovered, unleashing "Jack the Ripper" and a couple of zombies.

Elena and the Pack then embark on a perilous journey to close up the portal and ensure the safety of the Pack and the unborn babies. It's almost难以置信 that someone pregnant with twins could endure half of the things that Elena does, but perhaps that's the power of werewolf super-strength.

The Pack has to deal with various threats, including rat attacks, zombie bites, and a serial killer who attempts to infiltrate their close-knit family and very nearly succeeds.

Overall, the plot is definitely interesting, filled with action, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. It keeps the reader engaged from start to finish, despite not being my personal favorite.

Once more, Armstrong manages to score points with a novel that combines hilarity, gore, and sex into one great package.

However, as I have previously pointed out, she seems to be moving towards a more watered-down kind of story. The werewolves have been the mainstay of this series, but she no longer feels the need to focus on them as much as she used to.

In the second book, she deviated from the werewolf trend, and it seemed to work well. But for this book, she has chosen zombies as the antagonists.

Come on. Zombies? Really?

Okay, she does make it work, but it's quite evident that she's running out of ideas.

I loved the book, but I really hope her future works don't continue to decline in quality like this. 'No Humans Involved' was 200 pages shorter than this one, and what's worse, it was even worse.

Please, Kelley Armstrong, don't do this. Take some time off to reflect on your better early works (including the novellas!) and consider stopping the Nadia Stafford series. It's clear that the stress of writing almost three books a year is affecting your brain and creativity gland.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two favorite characters in this series, Elena and Clay!

They were so vivid and engaging that I couldn't help but be drawn to them. However, the storyline didn't grab me at all.

Throughout most of the book, there really wasn't much going on. It felt like they were just aimlessly searching for a dead guy they thought might be Jack the Ripper.

The lack of excitement and action made it a bit of a slog to get through at times.

On the positive side, I did love the happy ending.

It was a nice conclusion to the story and brought a sense of closure. However, it was REALLY abrupt.

I had just sighed with relief and was about to turn the page to read on, and - that was it!

It felt like the author could have spent a bit more time fleshing out the ending and tying up any loose ends. Overall, it was an okay read, but not one that I would highly recommend.

I think Armstrong got the whole pregnancy thing right. The way Clay and Jeremy are acting towards Elena's feelings is quite appropriate.

However, that was the only good aspect of the story. The overall narrative seemed off. The bad guys were rather lame, and we never truly got to understand Elena's pregnancy in-depth. It didn't seem much different from a normal human pregnancy.

In the beginning, when Elena steals the letter, Armstrong just cuts it out. Unless I somehow skipped a page, the story behind the letter and everything that's happening is not as exciting as it was in "Stolen", not even close. "Bitten" was okay, "Stolen" was way better, and "Broken" was worse.

The letter and other elements felt like mere fillers to fill the pages. But don't get me wrong, I do love Elena and the pack. I just don't feel comfortable with the other "women of the otherworld".

This series is like a thrilling rollercoaster ride. One book might not appeal to me as much, and then the next one makes me fall head over heels in love. The first book, for me, was a bit of a struggle to get into. However, I absolutely adored Elena's story. She transforms from a feisty, badass werewolf to something more. I won't say anything more about the ending, but it's incredibly sweet.

Yes, I switched from reading the physical book to listening to the audiobook, and it only immersed me further in the story. The group does find themselves in some supernatural trouble, but the pack comes together and faces it head-on. And, of course, you know who emerges victorious in the end. Overall, I have a great love for this book and almost gave it 5 stars. But I'm not entirely sure if it's a 5-star read for me. I don't envision myself going back to reread this book.

Nevertheless, it's a captivating and enjoyable read that has kept me entertained throughout.

Elena is pregnant, and she is being carefully nursed by two extremely protective alphas. One might think that with such vigilant care, nothing could possibly go wrong.

However, a deal is struck to steal a letter that reveals the location of a mutt. And that's precisely when all hell breaks loose. Toronto now faces a horde of stinking zombies, which brings with it unexpected and dire consequences.

What a shocking turn of events! Elena, who just so happens to be pregnant, becomes the target. It's a rather convenient situation, isn't it? To discover more about the thrilling adventure of the Packs, you'll have to read the book.

Who knows what other surprises and challenges await Elena and the alphas in this action-packed story? The anticipation is palpable as readers are drawn into this world of mystery, danger, and unexpected twists.

Will Elena and her protectors be able to overcome the odds and survive the chaos that has descended upon them? Only by delving into the pages of the book can we find out.

I absolutely adored this book.

It was truly wonderful to be able to see Elena once again. The fact that she is pregnant adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation.

I really like the plot where they need her to retrieve a stolen letter. However, things take a turn for the worse when she reaches the letter and discovers the existence of the portal.

I despise how Elena accidentally lets Jack the Ripper and a pair of zombies out. It's just terrifying.

The way they then go after Elena and attempt to kill her is heart-pounding and nerve-wracking.

On a more positive note, I really liked Jaime and the way she feels about Jeremy. Their relationship adds a touch of romance and warmth to the story.

Overall, I would definitely say that this is one of my favorite books in the series. It gets a solid 10 stars from me!

I can't wait to see what happens next in this thrilling series.
