I was really hoping for a great deal more in the way of profound insights rather than just straightforward instruction. It's quite evident that Tony has had the privilege of coaching some incredibly talented players. In fact, one might say he was almost spoiled by that remarkable experience.

This kind of knowledge and perspective could potentially be extremely valuable to a coach who is working with young players. However, it's important to note that it may not be of much help at all if you are coaching at any level that falls between 10-year-old players and world-class athletes.

Coaching at these intermediate levels requires a different set of skills and understandings. The needs and abilities of players in this range can vary widely, and a one-size-fits-all approach based on Tony's experiences with highly talented individuals may not be the most effective.

It's crucial for coaches to be able to adapt and tailor their coaching methods to the specific requirements of their players, regardless of their age or skill level.

I absolutely love this style of writing.

It is truly remarkable how it manages to encapsulate a wealth of wisdom and knowledge within real life anecdotes.

These stories not only make the content engaging but also offer valuable insights that can be applied to our own lives.

I really took my time with this one, carefully reading and reflecting on each passage to absorb as much as possible.

The depth and breadth of the ideas presented here have left a profound impact on me.

Moreover, I am looking forward to meeting Mr. DiCicco this winter.

I am eager to have the opportunity to engage in a conversation with him, to learn more from his experiences and perspectives.

I believe that such a meeting will further enrich my understanding and appreciation of his work.

Overall, this writing has been a source of inspiration and learning for me, and I cannot wait to see what else Mr. DiCicco has in store.

A good book is an essential for my work, and I have to read it before our meetings commence.

It was truly amazing to listen to DiCicco, who coached the USWNT in the 90s and early 2000s. His insights into how he discovered and achieved success, and then instilled that same drive and determination in the women he had the honor of working with and leading to numerous championships, were truly inspiring.

It was fascinating to see him explain how to replicate what he did with professional women and adapt it to coaching girls and women of all ages, regardless of their skill level. This book is a great read! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is coaching girls or women in soccer at any level.

It provides valuable tips and strategies that can help you take your coaching to the next level and help your players reach their full potential.

I truly relished this book. It was an absolute delight to read. The content was filled with an abundance of excellent coaching advice that was not only practical but also highly inspiring. I found myself completely engrossed in every page, eager to soak up all the valuable insights. So much so that I have already made up my mind to purchase a copy for myself. This way, I can re-read it whenever I need a boost of motivation or a refresher on the coaching techniques. The book has had a profound impact on me, and I believe it will do the same for others who are interested in the field of coaching or simply looking for some great self-help guidance.

I'm likely being unjust when it comes to this book.

It wasn't the book on coaching girls' soccer that I had been longing for. Moreover, it didn't significantly and insightfully deal with the difference (or the absence of it) between coaching girls and boys.

This fall, I'm coaching a girls' middle school team and was keen on obtaining some practical advice. Instead, I received a great many anecdotes about coaching the USWNT.

Regrettably, coaching middle school girls who might be compelled to play soccer by their parents is not the same as coaching a team of professional women or the type of youth team that he does sometimes mention.

We only see the parents at games. We don't have meetings or see the girls outside of practice. And I have no clue what the skill level and commitment will be like.

I suppose I'll just have to do my utmost without any assistance from Tony DeCiccio!

I picked this one up because my daughter is about to start playing soccer.

It contains a wealth of useful information not only for coaching boys but also for coaching girls.

The book does an excellent job of addressing the mental aspect of the game.

Understanding the mental side is crucial as it can have a significant impact on a player's performance.

It provides valuable insights and strategies on how to build confidence, handle pressure, and develop a positive mindset.

Whether it's dealing with nerves before a game or bouncing back from a loss, the mental aspect plays a vital role.

This book seems to offer practical advice and techniques that can help coaches and players alike.

I'm looking forward to delving into it further and seeing how it can enhance my daughter's soccer experience.

Hopefully, it will also be beneficial for other coaches and players in the soccer community.

Great advice is provided here for parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors of young tweens to adults. This advice is highly applicable when it comes to setting the tone in a wide range of situations where young people are part of teams. These include team sports, where the spirit of competition and cooperation is crucial; music, which requires harmony and coordination among the members; afterschool activities that offer opportunities for personal growth and social interaction; work groups in a professional or educational setting; and laboratory groups where scientific research and experimentation take place. I have discovered that a copy of this book can be extremely useful for motivating young people, regardless of their gender. It provides valuable insights and strategies that can help them thrive in team environments and reach their full potential.
