3.5 stars. I had high hopes for this, and I truly wanted to like it more than I actually did. The problem was that there was an excessive amount of description. It felt as if the author was spending too much time painting a detailed picture of the setting and the characters' appearances, rather than advancing the story through engaging dialog. As a result, I never really felt fully involved in the story. It was like I was on the outside looking in, unable to form a deep connection with the events and the characters. Perhaps if there had been a better balance between description and dialog, I would have had a more immersive experience and been able to rate it higher. Nevertheless, it still had some redeeming qualities, but the lack of engaging dialog was a significant drawback for me.
