This is a difficult and heavy style of poetry.

Personally, I don't recommend it because it strays from what I appreciate in poetic terms.

Poetry is supposed to be a form of expression that触动人心 and evokes emotions. However, this particular style seems to lack the finesse and elegance that I look for in good poetry.

It feels more like a burden to read rather than a source of inspiration.

Perhaps others may have a different opinion, but for me, this style fails to meet my expectations.

I prefer poetry that is more accessible, with clear imagery and a flowing rhythm.

That being said, everyone has their own taste in poetry, and what one person dislikes, another may love.

It's all a matter of personal preference.

I absolutely adored this collection of poems by SP. Oh my goodness!

Some of the poems were not like extremely easy to figure out what they could have been about. At least, it wasn't straightforward to determine what she intended for them to be about or what she wrote them about.

However, it was a rather pleasant experience. I really enjoyed trying to come up with my own interpretations or ideas for some of the poems.

And I love the way that she wrote everything. It truly was just incredible. She was such a wonderful and talented writer.

Her use of words, the rhythm, and the emotions she managed to convey through her poetry were all outstanding.

Each poem seemed to have its own unique charm and depth, making it a joy to read and explore.

I can't wait to read more of her work in the future.

Sylvia Plath had a truly remarkable and unique dark art of expressing herself.

She had an uncanny ability to speak her mind with such intensity and rawness that it never failed to deeply touch those who read her works.

Her words seemed to have a life of their own, weaving a tapestry of emotions and thoughts that were both beautiful and disturbing.

Even before her tragic act of suicide, her mental state could be clearly discerned between the lines of her writing.

It was as if she was laying bare her soul for the world to see, sharing her deepest fears, frustrations, and desires.

Her work continues to have a profound impact on readers today, serving as a powerful reminder of the human condition and the power of the written word.

DNF (Did Not Finish). Maybe 5% in, I don't know.

And what I am about to say is probably controversial. I'm not a fan of Sylvia Plath. I've read 3 of her books and only completed 1, and that one wasn't too great either, with a 2-star rating. So that is my opinion on her. I will more than likely never read another one of her books. So sorry to all the Plath stans, but she's just not a favorite of mine.

Perhaps it's her writing style that doesn't resonate with me. Maybe the themes she explores are not ones that I can fully connect with. Or it could be that I just didn't get the hype. Whatever the reason, I have to be honest about my feelings.

However, I do respect the fact that many people love Sylvia Plath's work. She has had a significant impact on the literary world and has a dedicated following. Everyone has different tastes in literature, and that's what makes it so diverse and interesting.

The original text seems a bit unclear and might have some errors. However, I'll do my best to rewrite and expand it.

Month after month, the resounding voices of failure echo around me.

I find myself completely helpless, just like the sea when it reaches the end of its string, lacking any direction or strength.

I am constantly restless, unable to find peace within myself. This restlessness makes me feel not only uneasy but also utterly useless.

Sadly, I too, in my own way, seem to create corpses.

Each passing day feels like a step closer to adding another lifeless entity to the pile.

I wonder if there is any way out of this cycle of despair and self-destruction.

Will I ever be able to break free from the grip of failure and find meaning and purpose in my existence?

These questions萦绕 in my mind, taunting me with their unanswered nature.

But perhaps, in the midst of this chaos and turmoil, there lies a glimmer of hope, waiting to be discovered.

Kuna roheline tiik teeb lahti oma silma,

tundes pööritust sellest, mis ta alla on neelanud -

jäsemeid, peegelpilte ja karjeid. Betoonpunkrite taga

eralduvad teineteisest kaks armastajat.

Oo mere valge saviserviis,

mis varjatud ohked, mis sool kurgus…

Ja värisev pealtvaataja,

keda pika kangatükina

sellest nakkusohtlikust tardumusest läbi lohistatakse,

ja mererohi, karvane nagu häbe.

The green lizard opens its eyes,

feeling a turning away from what it has laid beneath -

bones, mirror images and ashes. Behind the concrete points,

two lovers part from each other.

Oh, the white foam service of the sea,

the hidden fears, the salt that stings…

And the trembling onlooker,

whom with a long woollen blanket

is carried through this perilous slowness,

and the seaweed, hairy like shame.

Poetry is a tyrannical discipline.

You have to go so far, so fast, in so little time that it's not always possible to take in the periphery.

In a novel perhaps I could capture more of life, but in a poem I can get a more intense life. (Sylvia Plath in an interview with the BBC in October 1962).

This edition by Iluminuras is excellent, with translation, selection, and critical fortune by Rodrigo Garcia Lopes and Maurício Arruda Mendonça.

Unfortunately, no poem by Sylvia has managed to sweep me away yet, perhaps "Morning Song", but I continue my readings still interested in her figure, perhaps more than in her poetic work (so far).

It's also interesting to note that her poems are not an autobiographical portrait, she doesn't limit herself to that. "Her poems are a delirium chiseled by a method. Limiting the reading of her poems to what was tragic and curious in the poet's life is to despise her writing method." A good key to initiation into Sylvia Plath, besides acquiring this collection "Poems".

Can't get enough of her!

She is like a shining star that constantly attracts my attention. Every time I see her, my heart skips a beat. Her smile is as bright as the sun, warming my soul.

Her gentle nature and kind heart make her even more irresistible. She has this unique charm that draws people to her like a magnet. I find myself constantly thinking about her, longing to be in her presence.

Whether it's her beautiful eyes, her lovely voice, or her graceful movements, everything about her is simply captivating. I can't imagine a day without seeing her or hearing from her.

I am completely smitten with her and I know that this feeling will only grow stronger with time. I just hope that one day, she will feel the same way about me.
