"The Surgeon at 2am" and "The Mirror" are two of my absolute favorites.

These works are truly remarkable. They have a certain charm and allure that is simply captivating.

They shine like diamonds on a bed of precious stones, standing out among the rest.

"The Surgeon at 2am" takes you on a journey into the world of a surgeon during the early hours, filled with紧张 and anticipation.

"The Mirror", on the other hand, offers a profound exploration of self-reflection and identity.

Together, these two pieces say it all, encompassing a wide range of emotions and themes.

They are like precious gems that deserve to be cherished and admired.

Whether you are a lover of literature or simply looking for something to inspire you, these works are sure to leave a lasting impression.

Sylvia Plath is truly a genius.

Some of my absolute favorites among her works include "Wuthering Heights", "Blackberrying", and "Mirror". However, to be honest, I loved all of her writings so deeply that I have picked up "Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams" once again, a book that I had never completed before.

Finishing "Crossing the Water" has made me have an intense desire to read everything that Plath has ever written.

Her words have a unique power and charm that draw me in and keep me hooked. Each poem and story seems to offer a new perspective and a deeper understanding of the human experience.

I am constantly amazed by her ability to express complex emotions and ideas in such a beautiful and concise way.

Plath's works are not only a source of inspiration for me but also a reminder of the beauty and power of language.

POPSUGAR 2020: A book written by an author in their 20s

As a young teen girl, I was completely consumed by the idea of Sylvia Plath. I delved into reading more about her than her actual work. Around that time, I managed to get my hands on a copy of The Bell Jar, but unfortunately, I never really came across a book of her poetry.

As I have advanced my reading as an adult, I became aware that I hadn't read any of her poetry. Last year, I finally read "Ariel," and I absolutely loved it. When I discovered "Crossing the Water," I read it in the same way I did when I read Ariel: a few poems before going to bed. Although I didn't love CTW in the same intense way as I did Ariel, Plath's simple words manage to convey something that I had never encountered before reading her work. While she does indeed find beauty in everyday life (not in the privileged, servant-enabled everyday life of the British masters), it is the desolate mood of her poems that I find so utterly compelling. She is always lonely, and the way she finds lonely poetry in the smallest details of children, the sun, the grass, and breakfast just seeps into my DNA and becomes an integral part of me.

Her words have a profound impact, making me feel a connection to her that is both haunting and beautiful. I can't wait to explore more of her work and see what other hidden gems she has to offer.

Amazing! This is truly a beautiful collection. It is my favorite Plath collection so far. It was just so, so, so good. The words seem to dance off the page, captivating my heart and soul. Each poem is like a precious gem, shining with unique brilliance. The emotions expressed are raw and real, touching on the deepest aspects of human experience. Sylvia Plath's talent as a poet is truly remarkable. Her ability to convey complex feelings and ideas in such a concise and powerful way is simply awe-inspiring. Reading this collection has been a truly transformative experience for me. It has made me see the world in a whole new light and has deepened my appreciation for the beauty and power of poetry. I cannot recommend this collection highly enough. It is a must-read for anyone who loves poetry or is interested in exploring the human psyche.
