Love the forward by Toby Wolff. Just recently, I had the opportunity to read Dorothy Allison's "River of Names." It was an incredibly haunting piece of work. The moment I finished reading it, it immediately lodged itself in my mind and refused to leave. Even the following morning, as I woke up and went about my daily routine, the story and its powerful themes continued to linger. The way Allison weaves her words and constructs the narrative is truly masterful. It draws the reader in and holds them captive until the very end. I found myself completely immersed in the world she creates, feeling every emotion and experiencing every moment along with the characters. "River of Names" is a must-read for anyone who appreciates great literature and wants to be taken on a journey that will stay with them long after they've turned the last page.
