The Nobel Prize in Literature for 1975 was awarded for very nice and accessible poetry.

In this body of work, nature holds a significant and prominent role. The poems are richly filled with vivid descriptions of seashores, where the waves crash and the sand shifts. The majestic trees, standing tall and proud, add a touch of grandeur to the literary landscape. And the birds, with their beautiful songs and graceful flights, bring a sense of life and vitality to the verses.

Moreover, the translation of these poems is excellent. It allows readers from different cultures and backgrounds to easily understand and appreciate the beauty and depth of the original works. The translator has done a remarkable job in capturing the essence and spirit of the poetry, making it accessible to a wider audience.

Overall, the Nobel Prize in Literature 1975 recognizes the outstanding achievements in poetry, with its celebration of nature and the skillful translation that enhances its universal appeal.

The original article seems to be in Arabic. Since I don't understand Arabic, I can't rewrite and expand it directly. However, if you can provide the English translation of the article, I will be happy to help you rewrite and expand it to 300 words. Please note that when providing the translation, make sure it is accurate and complete so that I can better understand the content and context of the article. Thank you!

**"I Remember the Sweet Love Drink That I Used to Taste for the Lost Young Man, O Shores"**

This beautiful collection of poems makes me feel as if I am sitting by the sea, witnessing the sun, the sky, and the shores, as well as the bones of the fishermen and the shells that the waves toss onto the shore gently and gracefully. It is a collection that is read to see through the eyes of your experience. However, I didn't feel that it added anything new to me. Instead, it is a wonderful and charming canvas that one can enjoy.

The translation was strong in some places and weak in others. It was also not harmonious with the light images that the poet presents in his poems. Without an explanation of the names of the signs or the allusions that the poet wants to tell us, which the translator must surely be familiar with and present to the reader in an easier way than what was done. In short, the translation of poetry is a betrayal, and it is the most beautiful of betrayals.

**Quotes**

"But the illusion recedes and time returns us to the bustling cities where the clear sky appears only piece by piece, at the top of the alleys between the puddles. The rain soaks the earth, and then. And the sadness of winter accumulates on the houses. The light becomes a relic, and the soul becomes heavy when one day it appears to us, from a cage that was not ordered to be closed, the yellow lemon trees between the trees of one of the squares. And there he is, the one with the frozen heart that melts. And there she is, the one with the golden eyebrows, singing her songs in us."

"An ancient world passed through the noise of the children of the mill and the chatter and the rustling of the thick leaves and in the veins of the leaves as they were in their prime. The generals passed with their assembled boxes made of cardboard, painted with spears of tinfoil. Then there was the group, and it carried the tails of the ears and the horns."

"And I imprisoned it. For time never forms its grains twice in the same way. And here lies salvation: if it were otherwise, nature would have burned our story in the blink of an eye."

"And while walking under the Mediterranean sun, we feel, oh wonder, the extent of life and its hardships in this walk along the wall that carries on its top glass shards."

"In the well of the well, the heifer comes out naked. The water rises during the day and loses in it the memories that flutter in the full bucket. In the clear circle, a smile appears. I bring my face closer to the fading lips. The shape of the past changes, it looks old. It is the past of someone else... There she is, the heifer, screaming, returning you to the dark cave. A vision, a distance separates us."

"Life is this waste of trivial events, a waste in vain, more than that, a wild waste. It returns the tribes of children with their spoons, whether a season or a moment has passed. They discover, without changing, the lost appearances, although everything has turned to decay and the known fruit no longer descends from its branch."

After this reading, I remain even more affectionate towards Ungaretti. The reading did not engage me emotionally as it did for other authors, perhaps because I was also a bit prejudiced at the beginning. However, as I delved deeper into his works, I began to appreciate the unique charm and depth that Ungaretti brings. His use of language is both precise and evocative, painting vivid pictures in the reader's mind. Each word seems to be carefully chosen to convey a specific emotion or idea. Although my initial reaction may not have been as strong as I expected, I now realize that Ungaretti's works require a more thoughtful and patient reading to fully understand and appreciate. I look forward to exploring more of his works in the future and uncovering the hidden treasures that lie within.

I discovered these poems while buying the book in Monterosso, at a newsstand under Montale's house.

Reading "The Cuttlefish Bones" in the land where they were conceived makes you understand many things, and brings to mind every detail, every color, every smell.

It's as if you are transported into the very world that Montale envisioned when he wrote those beautiful lines.

The words seem to come alive, painting a vivid picture in your mind's eye.

You can almost feel the salty breeze of the sea, see the colorful houses along the shore, and smell the fragrance of the flowers in the garden.

These poems have a power that goes beyond words, a power that touches your soul and makes you see the world in a different light.

They are a testament to Montale's genius as a poet, and a gift to all those who have the pleasure of reading them.

The translation is unfortunately a disaster.

This statement implies that the translation process has not gone well and the resulting translation is of poor quality. There could be various reasons for this. Maybe the translator lacked the necessary language skills or knowledge of the subject matter. It could also be that the translation was done in a hurry without proper attention to detail.

Whatever the cause, a bad translation can have serious consequences. It can lead to misunderstandings, miscommunications, and even loss of business or opportunities. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that translations are done accurately and professionally.

This may involve using experienced translators, providing them with sufficient context and information, and carefully reviewing and editing the final translation. By taking these steps, we can avoid the unfortunate situation of having a disastrous translation.

A Classic

It is truly a classic. This work manages to be politically astute in a remarkable way. It delves deep into the complex world of politics, analyzing and dissecting various political situations and power dynamics with great precision. However, what makes it truly outstanding is that it does not lose its humanity in the process. It presents the characters and their stories in a way that makes us empathize with them, understand their motives and struggles. We see the political stage through their eyes, and it becomes not just a cold and calculated game of power, but a reflection of the human condition. The author has masterfully balanced the political and the personal, creating a work that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally engaging. It is a classic that will continue to be relevant and studied for years to come.

Excellent translation! It presents a beautiful mixture of childhood memories, enchanting landscapes, and a touch of subtle romanticism. The translator has managed to capture the essence of the original text with great precision and artistry.

The description of childhood brings back a sense of nostalgia, as if we are taken back to those innocent and carefree days. The landscapes are vividly painted, making us feel as if we are actually standing in the midst of them, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the beauty of nature.

The subtle romanticism adds an extra layer of charm to the translation. It is not overly blatant or exaggerated, but rather a gentle and understated emotion that lingers in the reader's mind. Overall, this is a truly excellent translation that will surely delight and captivate its readers.
